Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and TV personality best known as the anchor for The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas was raised between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. Sheryl spent the majority of her childhood caring for her sister Frankie, who had polio. She was in problems with her mother as she was growing up. Sheryl claims that her mom was once brutally stabbed by her father because he was too close. Sheryl when she graduated from college was drafted into the military. Sheryl's interest lay with comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She began her TV career in 1992, when she became a regular participant on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011, she has been being a co-host for the talk show The Talk. She's appeared in fictitious series like Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
