Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake was an American actress who appeared in many movies and TV series. The most prominent role she played was the one of Miss Kitty Russell on the TV show 'Gunsmoke.' The actress was also famous for the roles she played in shows on television such as "The Red Skelton Show,' "Tattletales," and The Edge of Night. Additionally, she appeared in several other films, such as Stars In My Crown, Duchess Of Idaho, Cattle Town, Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba,??High Society? and The Boost The Boost?. As a former operator of a phone, Blake was an avid animal lover. Her husband Frank Gilbert and she were among the first to successfully breed Cheetahs. In addition, the American performer was one of co-founders of Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). It was her first board member of Humane Society of the United States. Blake received numerous honors and was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
